What a strange country this is. They shun Halloween yet celebrate a day when some dork 400 years ago tried to blow up the king and parliament. Hellooooo. If it happened today we'd call him Osama bin Guy and he'd have to go hide in a cave somewhere.

Bonfire Night - get third degree burns throwing an effigy onto a bonfire as big as a house
Oh well, in order to 'blend' in over here, we did light a lovely fire in our fireplace tonight.
We had a great weekend in northern Wales. It is such a beautiful part of the UK and we're already planning our third trip back up there. Oh, and if anyone can tell me how to pronounce the name Buddug in Welsh, you get two gold stars.
