Halloo, and Happy (almost) 2007!!
We had a great week in France. Our little house was so great, but very very chilly. It was in the middle of nowhere - the closest village wasn't even on our map. The house has recently been restored but the beams and walls still had the original wonky character. It was really cute.
We had a good Christmas. Rob liked his (piece of a) turkey, and we had carrots, parsnips, green beans, roasted potatos, brussel sprouts and then a big chocolate yule log for desert. It was the first Christmas dinner I've cooked, and I think it was good, but I missed granny's pies terribly.
We had a couple of side trips to Dinan, St Malo, and Frehel on the sea, and we only saw the sun once, when we drove to the coast. Otherwise it was foggy and windy. We had big storm on our last night there, and the whole house shook in the wind. And coming back on the ferry we were delayed 5 hours because of the high winds in the English Channel.
Tonight we're off to a New Years Eve party - and tomorrow we're going to do nothing at all and just be lazy at home.
