The Jury Hath Spoken

Sooo, you might remember some misadventure on Sopwell Lane in August, when that gang of crazy ruffians went on a spree beating each other with hammers and smashing cars (and threatening bodily harm to Rob and I). We had to go to court yesterday as witnesses to testify about all the hijinx that night. Luckily, we didn't end up needing to do so, as the loser pled guilty to the charge. Turns out he had been out of jail one week before that night, and he's also facing a couple of other charges (assualt, drunk driving, drug trafficking). Yeah, he's a really upstanding member of the community.

We didn't find out what he was sentenced for the charge from that night - they were going to sentence him today. But the police officers we were talking to there said he'd be going to jail next month anyway once he's sentenced for beating up his brother. Nice guy!

The fact that we were there is the reason he took the guilty plea, so we did our civic duty even if we didn't have to take the stand - I was so ready for my big Law & Order moment!!

In other matters, I didn't want Kizzy (my real furry niece) to be jealous of the picture of Lulu (my honourary furry niece), so here she is in all her fuzzy bat-like glory:

Ad-OORABLE! That's Kizzy, I mean, not the hammer-wielding maniac.
