Anyway, we went to what seemed like a jillion old abbey ruins, castles, and other fun historic sites. We went to Rosslyn Chapel (which is the chapel that features at the end of the story in The Davinci Code). It was in a beautiful spot and the carvings were amazing.
We stayed at a really lovely bed&breakfast - it was an organic farm and they had cows and chickens, and a beautiful old farmhouse. The woman forgot we were coming and didn't have any heat on at the front of the house where our room was, so it was a bit chilly, but we survived.
Sunday we hit the road for more adventures. In the afternoon we went to the museum of flight and had a tour of a Concorde. It was pretty neat - I wish I'd had the chance (and the $10,000 necessary) to fly in one before they got retired.
We got back at about 9:30 on Sunday night, and thus ended another lovely weekend!
