A quiet, sunny weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend, staying around St Albans.
Friday night we had dinner with my fun Canadian friend Allison, and her British hubby. They are moving back to Canada in the fall too, so we'll get to hang out with them more in Toronto.

Saturday we went to Dedham, in Essex. It was very pretty, and where the famous artist Constable used to live and paint. We had a great pub lunch, then went for a nice walk along the river, and then splurged on a proper cream tea, which was fantastic. We ate SO much. We were with Rob's friends Becky and Paul, who he used to work with when his company was still called Microforum, and he had to travel to England to work on the Ford project. They are both good fun, and we had a lovely day with them.

Today (Sunday) I went for a 3 hour walk with Jessica and Paolo. We wandered for miles, and it was very windy and chilly, but sunny. We almost blew away a few times, and were puzzled by a short period of hailstones, but had a great day - and another pub lunch. Good think we walked so much, or this would have been a record breaking calorie-consumption weekend!

It's supposed to snow tomorrow, which will be very shocking after our week of 15 degree and sunny weather - I'm keeping my fingers crossed it won't happen, as I'm pretty settled into 'Spring' mode now!
