We just got back from our VERY fun weekend on a canal boat.
Yep - it's a boat and you drive around on canals. Our charming vessel was 7 feet wide and 63.5 feet long. And, it was perhaps a bit too confined to enjoy properly considering there were four adults and three VERY rambunctious kids on board.
But the weather was fantastic, and we ate well, and totally went wild, cruising like mad at the speed limit of 3 mph. Good times!
It was an amazing way to see the British countryside. The fields were full of sheep with their baby lambs, cows, horses, and the canals were full of ducks and ducklings, and swans building nests. The blossoms were all on the trees, and the birdies were singing the whole time. It was lovely.
Pictures to come tomorrow, right now I'm sooo tired! And can't wait for Al & Jimmy to arrive for their holiday on Tuesday! Yahoooo!
