I had a great week at home, that started off with my friend's wedding. Tresanne and Todd got married after many years (almost a decade!) of dating. The wedding was beautiful, and I'll post more pictures once the lovebirds get back from their honeymoon and Tresanne emails me some!
I then managed a quick trip to Toronto to see my favourite girls, Bernadette (aged 6 days), Lulu (aged 10 months) and Emer (aged 31 years, and a proud new momma!) and Ellen, Peggy, Jen, Tree (and Lise - in spirit!). It was great to meet Bernie, and to hang out with the gang. Emer & Brad's house brought out a very serious case of house-envy, but I guess Rob & I will have a house soon enough.
Then, it was a mad dash back to Peterborough to get ready to head up to Redrox for our three days of fun on the lake. There were 6 adults, 3 dogs, and one 1.5 year old! It was good fun, even though the sleeping arrangements weren't condusive to a quiet night.
We had a really fun time, and we read lots, napped when possible, swung in the hammock, swam, ate well, and Granny whupped my ass at Scrabble, yet again. The dogs were in canine heaven, with the whole Island to explore. We missed Rob an awful lot, but managed to think of him often, when we were hopping in the lake. The weather in England was SO bad, but in Canada it was hot and sunny!
We then headed back to Peterborough for a day or two, which included a fun dinner at Granny's, where Charley got to hang out in her bathtub!
And, he got entertained by us all outside for a while too.
