Things have much improved on Sopwell Lane. Yesterday I ate solid food (yay for toast!) and was finally able to take an anti-inflammatory (that had to be taken with food) so I'm feeling much better.Today I actually managed to wash my hair - the need was great. It made me feel pretty sick, but was worth it. I just had to lie down for a while after.
Just in case anyone doesn't know, the proceedure I had was a Septoplasty. The purpose of this whole ordeal was to straighten my septum, which was really crooked far back into my head. The proceedure doesn't change anything on the outside, but hopefully will make it easier for air to get through.
So, now I'm still feeling woozy (kind of like I'm on a sailboat all the time, things just seem to sway back and forth) but I think that's because of all the trauma in my wee skull from the surgeon chipping away at the bone.
I'm definitely feeling better than yesterday, so that's a good sign.
I thought I'd post a few pictures: Flowers from my lovely friends at work & from Jim and Helen, and due to popular demand, a picture that shows me still in one piece.
Oh yeah, and I sneezed today and it was ok! No part of my brain came out, so I was very relieved.

Is this how you pass the time on weekends when you're not travelling? You know, your Canadian spectators wouldn't be disappointed if you guys just 'hung out' on a weekend at home. ;)
Take it easy and feel better!
Yay! You look like a normal girl and not a deviant after all! (Deviated septum, that is). Glad at least part of you is "in line". haw haw Miss you!
