A rainy weekend ahead

So here's what the weather looks like for our trip to the Shetland Islands. I think I'll have to find a whole rain suit to bring along, though not sure if the new security measures at the airport will allow it!

We're heading north. Very very far north! The Shetland Islands are 600 miles north of London, and it'll be the closest to Santa I've ever been. (I wonder if Santa actually uses Shetland ponies instead of reindeer?). It's at about 60 degrees N. lattitude, so that means it's almost as far north as Yellowknife!

So, be dazzled by our weather forecast, and you can look forward to seeing some very grey pictures on our return. All I can say is the weather had better be nicer than this when we're back in Canada in eight short days! Woo woo!
