London Calling!

Emily and I have been having SUCH a fun trip. She arrived on Friday after an uneventful (but unpleasant) AirTranshat flight.

We took it easy on Friday and walked around St Albans in the afternoon and had dinner at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks (which is the oldest surviving pub in England).

Saturday we had a whirlwind day in London. We went to the Tower of London and then to St Paul's Cathedral, then across the Millenium Bridge to the Tate Modern, then took a boat to Westminster, then walked around there and visited Big Ben, then walked to Buckingham Palace and laughed at the cute guards and took lots of funny pictures. By this point, we were both exhausted (Emily especially because of jetlag and enforced marches across London), so we headed back home and had a quiet night watching a variety of British television.

Yesterday was the big fundraising event at work. A 10k run that has consumed every minute of my life recently. The day went off without a hitch, and was a huge success - we think we raised almost $100,000 Cdn. Which is soooo good! Emily was big help and it was a really early start to the day, so we had a quiet afternoon and had a nice walk around the Lake in St Albans.

Sooo, lot's more fun to come! We head to Capri on Wednesday and the weather there is set to be 27 and sunny, so we can't wait!

I wish I could have someone visit me every week, we've been having SO much fun. I'm already dreading her leaving! Boooooo!
