Had a great girlie weekend in Yorkshire with Jessica and Liz. Much like last year, we had a great time in our weekend o' fun. We had a spa day on Friday, Saturday we went to the Duke of Devonshire's house, Chatsworth, which was beautiful. Today we did some shopping in Doncaster and then hopped on the train back home.

Jessica, Liz and me having fun at Chatsworth
Liz and Eric have a beautiful house and were the best hosts ever... Champagne, fresh juice, and of course my beautiful en-suite bedroom! I wish I could live up there forever! It's such a beautiful part of England.

We had the requisite pints of Port & Lemonade and the usual amount of hilarity and hijinx (Jessica's shoe falling under the train on the journey up set the stage for the whole weekend. The gallant yorkshire prince charming who reached under the train with gogo gadget arms and plucked the shoe off the rails and placed in on Jessica's tiny foot was the hero of the night. I tried to encourage her to get his phone number but she wasn't impressed by his two piece green windbreaker suit... )
Liz and I discovered today that we're hand twins. It lends much credence to the fact we are secretly relatives from long ago, as proved by the Yorkshire lineage of my granny's family. See if you can choose whose hand is whose!

Back to reality now. We'll be missing Liz until our next visit to the north - hopefully this summer! And am looking forward to Christmas... can't believe it's December!
