We had a great time in Canada from May 18 - 27th - and just landed back at Heathrow this morning.
It was really great to see the whole family, especially wee little Charley, who doesn't seem to angry that I've missed much if his first formative 15 months! And, of course, it was very fun to be onhand to help Ben celebrate his 3oth Birthday! He's sooooo OLD!
We also signed the papers so we're now officially part-owners of Redrox. Woo woo! We bought a one-fifth share of the island, and had champagne & OJ to celebrate! We felt very grown up to be signing our lives away, and feel a bit silly that we own a share in a cottage before we actually own a house, but, we are very very happy as official cottage owners. (Cottage sharers?)
We had great weather all week - one day it was so hot that I actually swam at Granny's cottage. It was VERY refreshing! Yesterday we had a torrential downpour just before we got to the airport, and that seemed to have the purpose of easing us back into crap rainy weather, because we landed at 8 this morning and it hasn't stopped raining yet. (We also had 8 straight days of rain before we flew to Canada, so England is looking VERY green, if a bit waterlogged.)
So, now we're back in St Albans, and are looking forward to our next trip - a week long jaunt to the Greek Islands in June. Woo woo!
Here are some pictures of our week in Canada. More to follow.
