How the other half lives...

Just got back from a great day out. Our fundraising day at the lovely Bride Hall was a big success. We had more than 350 people turn up, and I served a lot of tea and cake. Couldn't even close the lid on my cashbox by the end of the day there was so much money in there!

The house itself was built in 1604 and my earlier post was wrong. They used to have 300 acres, but they just bought another 200!! So, it's a 500 acre estate and about five acres have been turned into beautiful gardens. There are two small lakes, and lots of little paths. There is an orchard where I got to sample plums off the tree!

There are a family of ducks and we fed them dog kibble, which they quite enjoyed!

Here is a picture of me and my friend Jessica. She is also the proud owner of a mini, but in this pic we are trying out how if feels to live in a house like this! I think we look like we fit in.
